      I've heard there is a new Pfsense Book in the works authored by Chris Buechler.

      Anyone know the release Date?

        I imagine not even Chris or Jim know that.  ;)
        When it's finished is probably the best answer, though I think I remember reading they were hoping to have ready early in 2013.

          There is still quite a bit of work left to do on the book, so much that it's tough to estimate a time.

          We would like to correspond the release of the book to the release of 2.1, both of which would hopefully be early in 2013, but we'll see what happens.
