IP Alias / Gateway gw status

Hi

pfsense 2.02

I have a Virtual IP (IP Alias) on a single WAN interface with a different subnet to the default, this has it's own gateway for a few static routes.

When the default gw goes down both gws are marked offline.

It seems RTT and Gateway status are getting the info the long way round in my case (out via the default gw and back in again)

Anyway…. the second gw still actually works and pfsense is still routing traffic to it but could anyone point me in the direction on how to make the status information ok (would it seem odd to add a static route to the gw via the same gw?)
