I have a ipsec tunnel setup between a pfsense 2.0.1 and a cisco ASA 5510. This has been working fine for a long time. The pfsense runs under VMWare.
Yesterday I upgraded to 2.0.2 using the automatic updater. Upgrade process went fine, normal firewal stuff worked, except the ipsec tunnels did not come up.
Tried manually starting the tunnels but that dit not work. Eventually I reverted back to 2.0.1 and all came back up.
As this was a bit critical I did not had the change to take log files.
I did notice the webinterface was much slower in displaying the tunnel status on the home page.
Another thing, when 2.0.2 was installed the automatic update check did not work.

Are there known issues with this upgrade, or do I need some config changes ?

Do you have a PPPoE/L2TP/PPTP WAN? If you have a PPP type WAN and you only get your DNS from there, you may not have had any DNS servers.

We've fixed that after 2.0.2 (we amended the release notes in the blog post to warn about it).

You might try one of the 2.0.3 images here:

I have a PPPOe WAN, so that may very well be the problem. Will try the 2.0.3 sometime.

          Thanks.
