I am getting "Unable to retrieve package info from www.pfsense.com. Cached data will be used." error.  This has been going on for a few hours now after I did make some changes and then re-installed pfSense as it did fail during an attempted package install.

Is there a way of checking the status of the packages server to confirm it is down?  Without this I keep on thinking that I may have done something wrong, or that the failure during the install may have corrupted my installation.   :)

      Thanks for any advice.

I am getting the list of available packages and can install successfully.
http://files.pfsense.org/packages/8/All/ shows all the package/pbi files.

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."
