Hi there, i'm installing new pfsense in a dell poweredge t710, all the instalation goes well, but the problem starts when the system tries to configure by dhcp the wan interface, it freezes in configurin WAN interface…

      Also i see this message:

Starting device manager (devd)...devd:Can't open devctl device /dev/devctl:Device busy, if i do ctrl+end i have the bash sigh # and then do exit, and it keeps freeze again...

Is there anyway to solve this?

When i started with this server, it didn't have that problem, nowdays it keeps doing that...

      Regards

      ???

Freezes for how long? There can be delays while pfSense is waiting for response to its DHCP request.

What build of pfSense are you using?

Hi there wallabybob, can be frozen for up to a day or more if I leave it in that state.  I'm using pfsense 2.0.1.

But the funny thing is that at first it did not happen. That began to happen eventually.

The dell server has two hard drives configured in RAID, could this be the problem, maybe one of the two is saving an image and is remaining in the system and this is happening?

          Regards
