      Hi all

i'm trying to get dansguardian working on an nanoBSD/embedded device with only a CF card as storage device. After trying and failing for quite some time (same with squidguard), i came to the conclusion, that neither dansguardian nor squidguard is able to run on such an installation? Is that right? And if so - are there any workarounds? I.e. by attaching an USB drive (in case the problem should come from the CF card not being writable for the dansguardian service - which i guess to be the problem)?

Thanks a lot for your help
      Frank

I don't know about dansguardian, but squid and squidguard can run on embedded units provided you disable caching (set a null cache type, and set to 0) and also make sure logging is off.
