hey guys, in my hotel, i have 12mb cable modem, with the 2.0.2 pfsense firmware connected and about 8 access points connected in two seperate building.  within each building i have a 5ghz radio pointed to each other.  what I wanted to know is there any way to use traffic shaper for: GUEST ONLY to limit download and upload, but for me and my camera, that I have in each building, I want to have to no limit of download and upload.  also all connection of access points are connected to the pfsense.  my pc is connected the radio but is hardwire.  so if there is any way of doing this please help.

Allocate static IP addresses to your known equipment (your PC, cameras…) away from the DHCP range that general guests get. I find the best way to do that is to add static mappings in the DHCP Server on pfSense, but you can hardcode IPs in each piece of equipment also.
Then you can use Traffic Shaper on the ordinary DHCP pool address range to limit everyone else - the guests.

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."
If I helped you, then help someone else - buy someone a gift from the INF catalog http://secure.inf.org/gifts/usd/

If you have a wifi installation that is designed for this sort of thing, rather than simply a collection of consumer grade APs, such as Ubiquity UniFi then you would usually solve this using VLANs. You can run two (or more) wifi networks in parallel using the same APs but different SSIDs that arrive at pfSense on separate VLANs. Then you can filter or limit either one easily.
You may be able to do something similar with consumer grade APs, especially if they are running DD-Wrt or OpenWRT, but it will be more complex to setup.
