      Is there a way to squeeze a little more out of these boxes?

      My setup is a Soekris 4801 board with a 266mhz chip and 128mb ram. I've got an atheros a/b/g card installed and using A. With the card bridged to LAN, i can get a max of around 25mbits which is the best I can do. When I put the WLAN on its own subnet (because of bridging problems with the kernel), i get around 16mbits on the wireless. Is there a way to optimize the system a little more to push 25mbits on the wireless? I already have no firewall rules except for Allow all on the wireless interface.

      Are these parameters of any use on the soekris?

      kern.polling.burst_max=1000
      kern.polling.each_burst=120
      kern.polling.idle_poll=1
      kern.polling.user_frac=5
      kern.polling.reg_frac=50
      kern.polling.enable=1
