Snapshots offline? Saying can unable to check for updates?

Currently running
2.1-BETA1 (i386)
built on Mon Feb 4 03:44:55 EST 2013
FreeBSD 8.3-RELEASE-p5Gitsync as of this morning โ using this url
http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_3/i386/pfSense_HEAD/.updatersThis loads -- but nothing there?ย This was filled in by dropdown and picking 2.1, etc.

Same with the AMD64 snapshot updates directory, both are empty. Whats up?

Would you rather see an error checking for updates or have a broken firewall? :-)
https://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/2793
I pulled the snapshot off the server once I realized it was bad.

Couldn't you change it show just nothing available vs unable to check? Or some sort of status of maintenance check back later, etc.
Just seems like something is broken this way, when not you pulled the latest for specific reason, etc.
Thanks for the info.

Not easily, no. That would mean going back and re-linking the previous copies of all the snapshot files and recreating the version files by hand.
They're just snapshots, we'll fix the repo and get a new one up later today. If someone wants new code bad enough in the meantime, gitsync.

New snapshots are uploading now, and they appear to be OK so far on my test VM.
The update files will show up at the end of the upload process. i386 will show up first, followed shortly by amd64.

I found out about the issue the hard way at 12AM when I upgraded to the bad one :(
Anyway I could not recover or get it to stay up.
What did seem to work is I did a full clean reinstall with livecd (that buildstamp) and restored the config and 0 issues.
So is it just something that is failing to upgrade?
That said should my next upgrade work or does this one (the one pulled) contain something bad and i need to rewipe and start fresh on the next bill? Or was the LiveCD fine just the upgrade bad?

The whole run was bad, and was deleted. The new ones should be OK.
