"Bug" in pfsense package manager
-
Hello,
I got into package manager reinstallation troubles…
1st
"Available packages" section overview timed out when pfSense is configured with IPv6 support and only IPv4 routes are public up/available (if there is an IPv6 routing problem it went white).
The "Installed packages" section lost package version numbers (installed, available)2nd
The package installer itself has other problems... he has only IPv "support":
$ host www.pfsense.org
www.pfsense.org has address 69.64.6.21
www.pfsense.org has IPv6 address 2605:8000:d:1::167$ host files.pfsense.org
files.pfsense.org has address 66.111.2.167So when I had an IPv4 routing problem I found the package list but can't install them.
3rd
the "Reinstall packages" button in Diagnostics => Backup/Restore flushes/clears al packages when there are such problems 1) or 2)Would be nice if this can be fixed in future ;)
BTW: Are there public available mirrors for pfSense package repository? I found only many question/answers howto setup an own mirror...
Thanks and Bests

We had to make some emergency changes to files.pfsense.org recently and had to remove the AAAA in the process for complicated reasons, I'll get it back when time permits.
