      Hi,

is there a plan to make a little nice package of it ?

I found this very helpful howto:
      http://www.zomers.eu/knowledge/pfSense/Pages/Configure-pfSense-2.0-RC1-to-use-Watchdog-functionality-Method2.aspx

but even it seems all working fine:

      [2.1-BETA1][root@gw1.zws8.local]/root(2): bmc-watchdog -g
      Timer Use:                   OEM
      Timer:                       Running
      Logging:                     Enabled
      Timeout Action:              None
      Pre-Timeout Interrupt:       None
      Pre-Timeout Interval:        0 seconds
Timer Use BIOS FRB2 Flag:    Clear
Timer Use BIOS POST Flag:    Clear
Timer Use BIOS OS Load Flag: Clear
Timer Use BIOS SMS/OS Flag:  Clear
Timer Use BIOS OEM Flag:     Set
      Initial Countdown:           20 seconds
      Current Countdown:           13 seconds

the IPMI watchdog reboots my firewall every ~ 5min when I activate it.
I tried it with all possible Timer Use /Flags combinations without success.

When searching for further informations I found out this forums post (in 2.0  Snapshot Feedbacks):
      http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,34056.45.html

Hardware: Supermicro X9SCM-F, BIOS version 2.0b

      ...
      acpi0: <superm smci--mb="">on motherboard
      acpi0: [ITHREAD]
      acpi0: Power Button (fixed)

ipmi0: KCS mode found at io 0xca2 on acpi
      ipmi1: <ipmi system="" interface="">on isa0
      device_attach: ipmi1 attach returned 16
      ipmi1: <ipmi system="" interface="">on isa0

      ...
      ipmi0: Number of channels 2
      ipmi0: Attached watchdog</ipmi></ipmi></ipmi></superm>

Has someone perhaps a hint what goes here wrong? Thx.

      Bests

      Reiner
