Well, had some issues (http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,5526.0.html) with the onboard NIC on a M598LMR PCChips motherboard, so i disabled it and added a realtek NIC to see if it works better than the other one but can't boot now.

I can access the bios (everything looks fine), the systems passes the POST, i get the pfsense boot menu and after selecting an option (any) the system just quickly (really quick) flashes some text and reboots itself…

Anybody knows what can the problem be?, i tried going back, took the new NIC out and reenabled the onboard NIC, but got the same issue...

Is there any way to rescue the installation without having to reinstall everything?

        Switch to Intel nics.

I already took out the NIC and tried to boot without it and got same problem, so i don't think plugging an Intel card would help…
Having a closer look at the display it seems to say something about IRQs (it's too fast the flash). But the bios prints different IRQs for each device. Does FreeBSD has any problem switching and or disabling hardware once it's installed or something like that?, the TroubleShooting mode didn't work either...

For the record, it was magically solved after flashing the motherboard bios
