      Hi,

The latest version of Ntop is 5.0.1, released on 13th August, 2012 (http://www.ntop.org/get-started/download/)

However, in pfSense, the latest available version is ntop-4.1.0_5-amd64 - this came out sometime back in 2011.

Is there any chance of this package being updated anytime? Does anybody know how involved is it to update the PBI?

      Cheers,
      Victor

ntop-4.1.0_5  is the latest FreeBSD package available. So for 2.0.x builds I think you are stuck with it. PC-BSD does indeed have the pbi for 5.0.1 not that you can just grab it and just stick it in 2.2 but it does indicate it runs on FreeBSD 9.x builds.

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity

It had been a while since I looked, but 5.x wasn't in ports for a long time. Now I see it's up to 5.0.1 in ports. It appears to have jumped from 4.x right to 5.0.1 sometime last month.

I'll see what I can do about getting new binaries uploaded.

Should be showing up momentarily in the package system now.

Assuming no GUI changes are needed.

If it won't start or is broken in some way, I may need to fix the GUI bits.

It would be safest to delete the package and then install it fresh again to ensure the binaries get updated.

On 2.1 it all seems to work OK. So I imagine if the dependencies all track OK on 2.0.x it should work with no extra effort.

I seen this problem for while.  I figured on just waiting.  Today running Beta 2.1 I got nightly update and found ntop to look different.  I seen on bottom it was on latest now.  Looks MUCH nicer then old Ntop..  Thank you for work done to update this!!!
