Do you know if pfSense is compatible with the new type of controllers from IBM (adaptec 4805), running SAS disks.

Since IBM no longer sells SCSI disks but only SAS disks I would like to know if it is ok. I've looked on the freeBSD hardware list but there wasn't any word about SAS. But looking on the adaptec website they say that freeBSD has support for SAS (built in the kernel..). Who is right ?

    Thanks a lot!

The 4805 should work fine with the iso image, embedded has had a lot of stuff removed lately.
If it's not supported in our kernel build i'm sure we can add the correct "device blah" line to the kernel.
You can find the current kernel config here http://pfsense.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/tools/builder_scripts/conf/pfSense.6?rev=1.14;content-type=text%2Fplain
