I am a freebsd newb (and a man) and I am missing the manpages. They don't use a lot of space (50Mb estimated) but add a lot of value IMO. I mean….

Filesystem           Size    Used   Avail Capacity  Mounted on
    /dev/ufs/pfsense0    1.8G    178M    1.5G    11%    /

..free space is nice to have but this is too much! :)
What do you think? A package would be perfect, adding them to the images would be ok too, IMO.

If you need the manpages of FreeBSD, then install FreeBSD ;)
They can also be found online here: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi

However for systems with a lot of free space, i agree i could see them as a package.

Hmm, I know I can read them online. I'd like to have them in the box though. One for "just in case" and two for the convenience. It's not uber important…but it's not hard to do either: just switch one variable in the nanobsd image creation config. :)

well - that works - it's kinda slow (by comparison) and there is some stuff i have to scroll-by to reach the actual  manpage. But I am happy, thx! - easy access to all manpages and no more```
              man: command not found

But does this mean no manpages for the nanobsd images?

someone could make a simple package that includes the man pages and required commands, but we aren't going to put them in the base install, no matter what size CF image.
