Confirmed working: MSI MS-9642, 3x PCIe Intel NICs, Socket M, mini-itx
-
I just wanted to report that I assembled and have confirmed the subject motherboard is happy with pfsense (that is, it leases a WAN IP address and the LAN is happy – no other testing done).
With 1 GB RAM, Celeron M 410, notebook HD, PicoPSU-120 with the included $5 power brick. Idle power draw is 27W at the wall.
So, for those looking for a mini-itx option with integrated Intel NICs and that has more grunt than a VIA board, this motherboard with up to a mobile Core 2 processor is a viable option.
I used 1.2 RC1.
