Darkstat installation failure

I tried installing the darkstat package on 1.2-Beta2 and it failed, so this morning I updated to 1.2-RC1 and it still isn't working.

Downloading package configuration file… done.
Saving updated package information... done.
Downloading darkstat and its dependencies... done.
Checking for successful package installation... failed!

Installation aborted.

That's all I get, any ideas? Is there a way I can turn on more detailed logging to find where it is failing?

deinstall package
pkg_info & pkg_delete from shell use for manually deinstallation darkstat port
install package new

I'm also getting this error on new installs- no packages installed. Brand new RC1 install. Maybe the package is currently broken?

Same thing here. First time I've ever tried to install it. Using latest snapshot build.
