recently, I have to constantly reboot my pfsense box or disable and re-enable my WAN interface. I'm at the latest version. What are some clues I can look at to determine what's going on. The lastest change I made was disabled broadcasting of my wireless network but that's not the issue because I can get to my pfsense box via wireless , it's the WAN interface that's losing the connection.

Welcome, Maybe something like these posts are talking about?

        • DHCP on WAN suddenly started failing: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,57258.0.html

        • Since a few day's losing the wan (dhcp) ip address: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,58819.0.html

Are you on the 2.0.2 release and which firmware type?

Just making sure as there is a 2.0.3 prelease and a 2.1 snapshot out there too.

If you didn't switch to 2.1 which is not ready for anything but testing you could try the following suggestion, if you did you need to post for help in the 2.1 Snapshot Feedback and Problems http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/board,53.0.html section.

Either SSH to your pfSense box or go to the console and try option 11) Restart webConfigurator.

If you still can't get to the pfSense web pages try the wget command using your system name or IP, it should come back with something like this:

              stan@t3400-1:~> wget pfsense.home
              --2013-03-16 18:30:40--  http://pfsense.home/
              Resolving pfsense.home (pfsense.home)... 172.16.0.1
              Connecting to pfsense.home (pfsense.home)|172.16.0.1|:80... connected.
HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 301 Moved Permanently
              ....

So far so good :) looks like it's fixed in 2.1. wonder what it was in 2.0.2 that was causing disconnect, does anyone know?
