DynDNS (Dynamic DNS)

Hi,
I have a pfsense running on a ALIX 2d13. My WAN IP address changes periodically.
Therefore I created a DynDNS account with my zone abc.xy. I entered the zone (abc.xy) in
pfsense's Dynamic DNS settings and the IP address got green - so good. But if I

dig abc.xy
there is no valid response. On the other side if I do this from outside my LAN (using web dig)
the correct response is sent.

Is pfsense able to handle whole domains with Dynamic DNS?
