I have recently "found" vnstat2 and am running it on Alix with a CF card, pfSense 2.0.1 NanoBSD

Delighted with the package - does everything I want and more and uses very little resource.

One question - will the old data survive a restart / reboot?
I have selected data backup for RRD data in diagnostics-NanoBSD but am not clear whether vnstat2 uses that specific data?

If not - is there a way to save it manually before a restart.

      TIA

If it stores the data in /var or /tmp then no it will not survive a reboot.

The RRD backup only works for RRD graphs built into pfSense, not packages.
