Embedded updating?

I know this used to be a problem, but I haven't been following the boards lately….

Is it now, or will it ever be possible to update an embedded WRAP image through the web interface?  Or is it still required to pull out the CF card and physdiskwrite it, then restore your config?  I'm on an older version of pfSense and haven't bothered to update in awhile because it works fine, and the procedure to do so is a pain impossible remotely.
