Squid and PPPoE Server

I discovered recently that Squid doesnt work with PPPoE server (squid attaches to incomming connections on the LAN port).

Anyone knows any hack to make squid cache queries made by the pppoe clients ?

I really must use squid in the same box of the pppoe server due to cost reasons…

Edit: correct, its not the wan, its the lan.
