      Hi Everybody

I am actually looking to build a new firewall. Until today i used a pcengines with pfsense. Since my Internet Uplink was upgraded to 100mbit the pcengines is to slow to handle this kind of connection.
Now i found this wonderfull tiny system (Shuttle Barebone DS61): http://www.brack.ch/tabid/294/Default.aspx?ID=239083

It has 2 Realtek 8111E NIC's onboard. I already had a look on the compatibility list, but didn't found it.

Did some of you guys already some experience with 8111E or with the Shuttle Barebone DS61 as firewall ?

      Thank you for your support

It's not supported in the 2.0.x base OS, but it is in 2.1. I know there are a few people on here running those NICs with 2.1 and have been for a while.

There's a thread for the Shuttle DS61, people there seem happy with it: http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,56950.0.html
A helpful forum user has compiled more recent re driver for 2.0.X so you can run that if you need to.
