      Hi,

I have upgraded to pfSense 2.0.3 (using the amd64 version).  I want to create a user who doesn't belong to admins group but he does belong to wheel group (I want to use ssh as a simple user and then use the su command to get root privileges so as to avoid using ssh as admin).

From the web interface, there is no option to add a user to the wheel group.
If I use the pw command from the cli to create a user and then add the user to the wheel group, this user does not persist after reboot.
If I manually edit the /conf/config.xml file and then create a user there using the appropriate xml syntax (i.e. <user>…</user> , etc.), the user is created but his "shell" is the /sbin/nologin. If I add a groupname = whell to an existing simple user, still doesn't work.

Any ideas on how I can create a simple user being a member of the wheel group?

      Thanks

      Antonios

I figured it out. I created the appropriate entry at the config.xml for the group wheel too!

        Thanks
