Is possible to use diff to upgrade pfsense versions ?.
The file or files will be very smaller and more easy to upgrade in alternative to "firmware upgrades".

      Best Regards.

Well, one can always use git http://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/Updating_pfSense_code_between_snapshots
Obviously this only works for the php parts of pfsense, i.e. it won't update the binaries.

However I can't imagine it'd be practical to create diffs which would include updates to system binaries.

There are things that do a binary diff, but it's really not worth the effort. Just use the normal firmware update files, not much reason to rock the boat there and potentially miss or break something.
