    I found this post when groping around for causes to the message "You have less interfaces than number of connections!"

    http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,59258.0.html

    I am having that problem again when using VMXNET3 interfaces on a virtualized pfSense 2.1-BETA1 (amd64).

    vmx3f0 -> WAN
    vmx3f1 -> LAN

    I updated to the latest build (as of 04/28/2013). No help.

    Reverting to E1000 works!

    em0 -> WAN
    em1 -> LAN

    That config works just fine.

    What gives?
