      Hi,

I just put my first pfSense box online about 2 days ago, and so far so good.  It's serving up about 2000 users and handling it well so far.  I have one issue that is minor, but bothersome nonetheless.  For some reason, I cannot set the timezone.  When I go to System->General, the timezone dropdown is empty.  I cannot set it to anything.

I am running another box with the exact same hardware config and I don't have the problem.  I'm a little baffled.

The server version is 1.0.1, and it's embedded running on a Dell GX260 on a compact flash adapter.

      Am I missing something obvious?

I've installed pfSense numerous times and never seen that. My guess would be a corrupt file. Since your running the embedded version it would be easy enough to flash another compact flash card, using another box or live cd, restore your config to the compact flash card. Then just swap the card out. Downtime would be just the time it takes for the box to boot.
