      5 Interfaces, two pfSense boxes

      WAN
      SYNC (192.168.1.0/30)
      LAN (Management) (192.168.10.0/24)
      OFFICE (192.168.20.0/24)
      WIFI (172.16.0.0/21)

      pfSense #1

      WAN: 123.123.123.226
      SYNC: 192.168.1.1
      LAN 192.168.10.2
      OFFICE: 192.168.20.2
      WIFI: 172.16.0.2

      PfSense #2:

      WAN: 123.123.132.227
      SYNC: 192.168.1.2
      LAN: 192.168.10.3
      OFFICE 192.168.20.3
      WIFI: 172.16.0.3

      CARP IPs:

      WAN: 123.123.123.225
      LAN 192.168.10.1
      OFFICE: 192.168.20.1
      WIFI: 172.16.0.1

I have carp configured correctly. I have posted pictures of my current configuration. My problem is with DHCP Failover IP. The DHCP lease page shows communication error, state unknown, etc.

Okay, I think I figured this out based on a really old post from 2011. Apparently, when enabling DHCP Failover, you only specify the failover IP on the first interface performing DHCP, not every single interface. Is this correct?

You must specify a failover IP on every interface that does DHCP, on both the master and slave.
