Future of routing?

Not strictly a 2.1 question, particularly since we're in feature-freeze mode, but I noticed that the OpenBGPD and (of course) OpenOSPFD can't coexist with the Quagga OSPF package. This means no way to have both BGP and OSPF routing on the same box, which although I luckily don't need that currently, would seem to be a bad long-term situation.
Checking out the Quagga web page ( http://www.nongnu.org/quagga/ ), it seems that Quagga is intended to be a general-purpose routing package, including BGP, OSPF, RIP (in a variety of incarnations), etc.
So wouldn't it make sense to eventually move to use Quagga for all routing?

Eventually it would be nice to have Quagga handle all of the protocols that its daemon is capable of handling, but that takes time, testing, and code that are in short supply.
With PBIs on 2.1 the conflict isn't quite so bad since the PBIs are separate if the full path to the binaries can be used and there should be no conflict.
