Does anyone know how to install Pfsense on Watchguard 700? What is the process?

      Kind Regards,

You mean the Firebox II or III? Without an LCD?
They are quite old now so the hardware in them is limited, socket 7 CPU and 128MB RAM. It can be done though. m0n0wall might be a better target for those boxes.

There are some instruction for installing m0n0wall on a Firebox II, sadly now only available via the way back machine, here: http://web.archive.org/web/20111219022542/http://www.ls-net.com/m0n0wall-watchguard
The procedure would be similar for pfSense. Most notable is that the original OS boots from on-board, non removable, ROM which is too small for pfSense so you need a IDE-CF adapter or a HD I guess.

The 700 is still x86-based, K6-2 233mhz if memory serves. It has been attempted in the passed (http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=27253.0;prev_next=next) but was noted to be too slow.

Still good enough for a home router perhaps, especially running m0n0wall instead of pfSense. There has some work done to drive the LED 'triangle' display. http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,36546.0.html
