I've been playing off and on w/ pfsense for several months now and felt comfortable enough to put a box into production. Everything has been going great w/ very few hiccups, except for one thing. The last day for ALL logs is several days earlier. I've rebooted twice now w/ no change. I've checked every page that deals w/ logs at least 30 times but nothing seems to fix it. I can ssh into the box and manually see the logs, they just aren't updating via the gui. Any clues?

Nobody has any clues? I've been searching high and low and come up empty. Could really use a hand.

using clog to view the system.log produces nothing, now   ???

Okay, my "search f00" was failing me. Found another post and solved the problem. DO NOT disable log files to RAM disk!

Good to know, I had no clue as you said.  ;)

So I take it you disabled local logging because you were using an external syslog server and expected that to continue to function?
