      Hi

I'm seeing the following in the gui and I'm unable to login without rebooting.

Warning: fopen(/tmp/config.lock): failed to open stream: Device not configured in /etc/inc/util.inc on line 127 Warning: flock() expects parameter 1 to be resource, null given in /etc/inc/util.inc on line 138 Warning: fclose() expects parameter 1 to be resource, null given in /etc/inc/util.inc on line 139 Warning: session_start(): open(/var/tmp//sess_7c2518448edb9f86154a8d6a85bca5d1, O_RDWR) failed: No space left on device (28) in /etc/inc/auth.inc on line 1320

      Regards

      Simon Wood

It is because the drive is full (no space left on device). It could either be size or inodes. Check with df -h/ df -i in the command line.

Unfortunately it's more likely that your drive is dead/dying.

That is good information to know.  I would have assumed hard drive errors would give some kind of i/o error.  I don't ever recall seeing disk full errors in Linux when drives have failed on Linux for the past 17 years.  I only have limited experience with freebsd via m0n0wall and pfsense.  It seems strange that the kernel wouldn't know the difference.

I go into detail about why it shows up that way on the doc I linked to there.
