      Hello Guys,
I just tried to install pfsense on my old Watchguard x550e Box, but unfortunately this fails and I need to restore the original
watchguard image. As I not have a backup I really hope someone did that before and can help me out.
Support from watchguard also can not help me, I can not get any image form there, so my last hope is this community.

Its a Watchguard Firebox x550e , 512 CF Card inside edition.

Any help is welcome thank you in advance

      Best regards
      Michael

        Giving up so soon??  :P

Seriously- I know how frustrating it is especially when you can't see whats going on…

I need to go back and look but does the bios chip pop out or is it soldered in?  Ive got a spare that already has Steve's version B7 on it...  Friend got over anxious and popped an incorrect CPU into the slot and let the smoke out of the voltage regulator.

Otherwise all efforts I made to save the original firmware failed although I didn't try very hard.

I am not sure, but if there is any chance to get over this issue I would be happy a lot.
How much you want to have for your BIOS Chip ? I am located in Switzerland, so let me know how we can go ahead :)
          Best regards and thank you

Ill pull the box out of storage a little later and pop the bios out. Yea- those can be tricky.
