      Hi guys…i have Just installed a DHCP server with pfsense but i have faced two problems :

      First : Obtaining an IP address is very slow.
      Second : pfsense can't give any a cell phone client an IP address.

      Any an idea about that ?

      thank you.

        @Raafat:

        First : Obtaining an IP address is very slow.

        The pfSense DHCP server log might provide some clues: (see Status -> System Logs and click on DHCP tab.)

        @Raafat:

        Second : pfsense can't give any a cell phone client an IP address.

        Works for me. Family members have three different Android phones which successfully get IP addresses from a pfSense DHCP server.

          What build are you running of pfsense?

          And dhcp works on mine as well, with multiple cell phones - android, blackberry both get IPs no issue, along with multiple other wireless and wired devices all getting dhcp without any issues.

            We know nothing about his wifi,  Is it an AP or built in card.
            How is the interface set up?  Correctly?  DHCP running or no?
            Basically, til now all I know is his wifi doesn't work right.

            For all I know, he is running an AP on an interface with static IP only.

              ^ agreed there is no information to even start "guessing" at what could be wrong if anything.
