Too many to list, but here are the release notes.  Squid3 (3.1.20, rel 8 Jun 2012) is a major version newer than the other, older package (2.7.9, rel 17 Mar 2010).

squid is more stable than squid3.

still squid3 is good, but if you dont need its new features maybe you can stay with squid.

I've had better luck with Squid3.  I had issues with YouTube being exceptionally slow with the older squid package.  Also find that there are more cache hits with squid3, which doesn't make sense as I use the same settings, but it appears to be the case.

After using Squid3, I had bad experience while using gmail.com, before login in it needs url needs to be refreshed and also after loging out from Gmail it does not to the home screen of gmail, for that url has to be again refreshed.
Even while using any banking HTTPS sites after completing any transactions, it does not shows any thing. And  in banking sites url are not allowed to be refreshed.

Please resolve the issue of Squid3

              Thanks & Regards,
              Prashant
