Weird NTP problem

I have all my ethernet devices sync'd to the NTP server on my pfSense.
Two of the devices delete an hour from the actual time. So everything will be set to 10:00am at 10am except 2 that will show as 9:00am at 10am.
Anyone else seen anything like this?? Can't figure out why. -
Hmmm? Sounds pretty obviously like wrong timezone/DST settings? On another note, you provided completely zero information about the devices…

I'd wonder how many of your devices even get their times from your pfsense NTP. Probably none unless you have made it do so manually.
But if they are pointed at pfsense then its probable that they are applying DST settings wrongly.So yeah - what doktornotor said. (makes me wonder why I even commented)

Yup, that was it. Had DST enabled, just didn't notice the start and stop dates were set the same…

Uhm… for future reference: it can be rather relevant. Incl. cases like not installed timezone data updates and dual boot with M$ OS / HW clock in UTC vs. local time. :)

It was not relevant. They are not computers.
I know when it would be relevant and would've included the info if it was.

Nah - Its my bad. Sometimes I skip through these posts pretty quick while I'm cooking, teaching, making coffee, listening to the news, simultaneously and somehow manage to miss some small bit. Amazing…. But true... ;D

Interesting point here. Whilst it may be true that in this case the device details were not relevant I would always encourage people to give as much detail as possible. In many cases people come to the forum with a problem after having tried for hours or days to solve it themselves. During that time they will have decided what may or magnitude be relevant. Unfortunately it's often the decision that something isn't relevant that has prevented them solving the problem.
