Has anyone asked about adding a dns server to pfSense loads? I would love the have the ability to do some local caching and split brain dns stuff on the firewalls.
MaraDNS is pretty small, and should have a low foot print for the image. Just a thought. I would recommend that it not be enabled by default, but there for others who want to use it. There is also djbdns, but the license would not allow pfSense to distribute the software, and named is a pig.

Hmmm - I Tried to find any licensing info on djbdns (of which tinydns is a sub-set of the djbdns toolset) and did not find anything - do you have a URL link or pointer to the license info???
