Any way to change DHCP failover group name?
-
Hello,
I'm running 2.0.3 on CARP clusters. DHCP is configured as failover between the cluster members.
Is there any way to change the failover group name shown in Status>DHCP leases?
It's difficult keeping track of what's going on when there are multiple interfaces with failover servers, since the groups are named dhcpX which doesn't really make any sense unless you memorize what number corresponds to each interface. Works for a couple of interfaces but the whole logic breaks apart when interfaces start getting into the double digits.Feature request: If possible, please add a way to manually name interface groups from the Services>DHCP Server>[Interface] page. Syncing from the master to the slave system would be really helpful.
Thank you.
PS.
I know the feature request will completely go unnoticed, just like my request to edit old forum posts ;D -
Manually naming them won't be an option.
On 2.1 they do include the actual interface name, now, so they're easier to interpret.

Either you can edit your posts forever (bad) or you have a limit (better). We aren't going to remove the overall limit that I'm aware of, but if someone knows of an SMF mod that allows editing stickies/first posts, then maybe we'd look into that.
