I am using this for one of my connections
      http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VSTDFG/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The interface is working, I can ping through it under the ping tab.
I can also access the router ahead of the interface.

The interface is down under the interfaces tab.

Could this be because it's a usb connection?(ue0)

This worked fine in pfsense 2.0.3, it's only when I upgraded to pfsense 2.1(Aug 19 build) this started happening.

What does the output of "ifconfig -a" from a prompt look like?

And are you saying it shows down on Status > Interfaces, or Status > Gateways, or on a particular widget on the dashboard?

Under status->gateways and on the homescreen.

Seems to be alright on the new builds though atm.
