      Hi All,

New to Linux. We have a Sun X4100 M2 2X dual core AMD server. Want to use it as a firewall for a small office. I have 2 72Gb SAS drives which are shown during machine bootup. Also I have installed Fedora on both drives just to test them and they work.

The problem is when I try to install pfSense it exits with error 36 and does not complete the install. During the install I see that it is looking for SCSI drives and cannot find them. Question… did I miss something in the install program that is apparently preventing psSense from working with a SAS drive?

I did a search for this problem but could not find anything. Thanks in advance for your help.

      Paul

It's likely to be a problem with the SCSI controller rather than the drives them selves. What controller do you have?

Just so you know pfSense is built on FreeBSD and FreeBSD is not Linux.  ;)
