    Carp FAIL with physical machine + virtual machine

      Hi all,

      I have a pfSense system with a master physical machine and a backup virtual machine (with ESX and VMWare 5.1)

      The CARP seems that works fine. When i shut down the master pfsense (the physical) the backup one stay on master, but i cant ping the virtual IP. I can ping and acces the virtual pfSense but with the local IP.

      Does anyone have the same or similar issue?
      Thanks in advance and sorry about my english.

      Note: I activate the option "Net.ReversePathFwdCheckPromisc"

        Usually that is because you don't have all of the correct options set on the firewall's portgroup.
