How to disable squid without removing it?? –RESLOVED--

    Is there any way to disable squid without killin it from console or removing from packages list???
    I dont see any disable/turn off option

      You can go to Status/Services and just Stop the Squid Service.

          If you don't want to use squid simply don't configure the browsers for it, and ensure your firewall rules don't block access to 80/tcp and 443/tcp.

          Otherwise, maybe if you said what your problem really was, rather than the fact that you don't believe that stopping squid disables it?

            If you do leave the service running make sure that transparent mode is not enabled.
