      i get this after updateing.

      Downloading new version information…done
      Unable to check for updates.
      Could not contact custom update server.

      anyone know the reason?
      i've tried to find if i have config error but cant find whats wrong

        2.2-ALPHA (amd64) sounds like some homebrew stuff, so OT on this forum. Plus "Could not contact custom update server." sounds pretty obvious.

          the update before did say 2.1-rc2 i'll have a look on "Could not contact custom update server."

            i had gitsync set to master. change to RELENG_2_1.

            not sure yet if i helps with my problem

              bah.

              cant get it to work after update.

              tried the things from web still same problem.. well well it will prob work some day for me.

              EDIT: found the problem.. was dns fail had a space in it..

                interesting, i am having the same issue, where did you edit the file to fix?

                  Update checks will fail right now because the snapshots server is offline (on purpose) as we generate the 2.1 release images.

                    interesting, i am having the same issue, where did you edit the file to fix?

                    i had 192.168.1.1 as a dns server.

                    now i use 8.8.8.8 and my domainname
