DC++
-
Hi all,
Am new to pfsense. Got everything working though except one thing:One of my computers running wXP uses DC++ (active) for file sharing.
DC++ FAQ says:
"Active mode requires both TCP and UDP access on the same port incoming and all ports outgoing for DC++ to work properly." It then instructs how set up port forwarding.
( http://www.dcpp.net/faq/faq.php?lang=en&display=faq&onlynewfaq=0&catnr=2&faqnr=11&prog=1 )I followed the guide from The pfSense FAQ:
( http://faq.pfsense.org/index.php?action=artikel&cat=10&id=53&artlang=en&highlight=forward )"How do I send port XX to a machine behind the firewall?
1. Go to the Firewall menu, select NAT, click on the Port Forward tab.
2. Click on the + (plus) icon at the bottom of the screen.
3. In the page that should now be displaying, enter your forwarded port in the External Port range box(es), enter the internal IP address you'd like to send that port to.
4. Then check the "Auto-add a firewall rule" checkbox.
5. Click 'save' which will return you to the Port Forward NAT screen, showing you all the NAT entries. 6. Finally, click 'apply' - wait a few seconds and test."However; when applying that change pfsense logs an error:
"php: : There were error(s) loading the rules: /tmp/rules.debug:35: syntax error pfctl: Syntax error in config file: pf rules not loaded - The line in question reads [35]: rdr on dc1 proto { tcp udp } from any to "my WAN ip" port { 2000 } -> "local ip" port"
And that is the "auto added" rule pfsense added when I set up the port forward.
I start DC++, set Active Mode and my WAN ip and the port thats forwarded, but I keep timing out when connecting
to any DC hub.Any suggestions?
Thnx in advance!

I have portforward lots of times with diffrent versions of pfSense and have never seen that problem.
Could it be that you have configured it wrong some how?
Attach a screen dump of the portforward in question (an image says more than thousand words).
