I'm looking at using pfsense in an embedded firewall application my company is developing. We need the use of siproxd, though, and would rather look at getting siproxd working with pfsense rather than using competing open source products.

I've not done any development in FreeBSD or for embedded platforms and was wondering if anyone has any pointer on where to start with getting this package working.

Seems I got ahead of myself with my first post. I've got siproxd installed and working on a hard drive installed pfsense. I now plan to try and build an embedded image with siproxd on it. Once I've done that I would like to look at building a GUI frontend for siproxd, I've got no experience in XML or PHP however and was wondering if there was something like an idiot's guide to creating a pfsense package ?

I wish there was, someone is supposed to start work on one soon, so hopefully we'll see some good documentation coming together.

Looking at the files for existing packages is your best bet right now.
