HP/Intel NC364T Bridge Issue

  • I recently installed a fairly simple pfSense box. It uses an AMD E350 board with a HP NC364T.

However i have discovered an issue when hot plugging a network cable into the card. A similar issue can be found here.
I have tried the work around mentioned in this but that did not work.

The affected switch sits on a timer that kills power to our entire media setup (pc/pvr/tv/etc) at night. I would be able to move the switch from the timer but idealy this should not be necessary.

Have I missed a way to work around this or is this just a pfSense/Intel issue.

EDIT: This can be merged with http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,66908.0.html if desired.
