      Dear Forum Members,

Could you please help me understanding whether the promiscuous mode is also required for SYNC interface (dedicated to pfSync and XMLRPC), in addition to those interfaces hosting a functioning CARP VIP (e.g. WAN, LAN, OPT1/DMZ)?

I know it may sound a silly question, but I'd like to avoid enabling that promiscuous mode on more VDS than the strictly required…

Thank you in advance for your time and attention,

      Luigi

No promiscuous mode needed on interfaces that PFSYNC is running over.

Hi ssheikh, thanks a lot for your swift reply!

I'll ask to enable the promiscuous mode only for WAN, LAN and OPT1 (DMZ) interfaces, than.

          Kind regards,

          Luigi
