Problem with IGMP Proxy
-
I am running IPTV through my pfsense box using the IGMP proxy service. It works great for about a day then it starts acting "flakey" It seems there are currently two ways for me to "fix" this.
- Restart the IGMP Proxy
- Restart the pfsense box - I currently have this set up as cron job for the early morning hours
However, I really dont like this solution. Is there a way to restart just the igmp proxy with a cron job? What might I look into to fix this problem so I wont have to do either one. There is nothing helpful showing up in my logs..
Update: I checked my logs again and found this:
igmpproxy: Warn: age_table_entry: SIOCGETSGCNT failing for (184.61.183.136 239.21.3.254); Errno(49): Can't assign requested address

I have a similar problem with the IGMP proxy every 10 minutes this shows up in the systemlog:
igmpproxy: Note: New origin for route 239.2.0.251 is 192.168.8.192, flood -1

igmpproxy: Note: Removing MFC: 192.168.8.192 -> 239.2.0.251, InpVIf: 1
igmpproxy: Warn: age_table_entry: SIOCGETSGCNT failing for (192.168.8.192 239.2.0.251); Errno(49): Can't assign requested addressI use the IGMP proxy to get RTSP to work over VPN-tunnel.
Is there something that can be done about this?

I have exactly the same issue:

Did you ever manage to work out how to setup a cron job just to restart the IGMP Proxy rather than the whole router?

I ended up changing net.inet.ip.fastforwarding to 1, its under system tunables, this seemed to fix it right up. no cron job required.

Thanks, Ill give it a try.

Unfortunately it didn't work for me…
I have a TV-server (DVB-T2) on my LAN-side, wich streams TV to the clients on the LAN, and I want to be able to watch TV with clients connected through an OpenVPN-tunnel, but I can't get it to work for more than a few minutes.
Anyone who could be nice and patient enough to explain to me how I should set this up?
