      I'm running pfsense 1.2RC2 with squid, in transparent mode, and lightsquid (I cannot imagine one without the other) without any problems, and, I wanted to thank all who helped bring squid and lightsquid to pfsense!!!

        Can this be installed on the embedded version, or only the full install?

        Ah - to answer my own question - can't use packages on embedded version. That's too bad.

          I read on this forum that someone is working on RAMDISK solution which would allow flashdrive equipped pfsense routers to install packages.  Though you'd propably need more than 256MB of ram to accomplish that…

              if you are running a full install go to Packages and add it.
              If embedded is what you are using then it won't work since packages are not available on that platform.
