    Hi, i have noticed that the wildcard option for Loopia does not work properly. Even when it's checked it does not add a CNAME for the domain in Loopia DNS.

    I have modified the dyndns.class in /etc/inc/ and manually added &wildcard=on in the curl string that solves the issue for Loopia.

    https://dns.loopia.se/XDynDNSServer/XDynDNS.php?hostname='.$this->_dnsHost.'&wildcard=on&myip='.$this->_dnsIP);

    Maybe something to fix for the future? Or am i doing something wrong here? There is no difference for Loopia when i check wildcard or not. It just adds the same record for the DNS

      Can you try to apply this patch to see if it helps?

        Hi, i have applied the patch and then tried the Save and Force Update.

        Loopia removes the Wildcard CNAME for me still when i update. Any idea?

        Any way to see what kind of output the Dynamic DNS is using when doing the curl update? Just wanted to see the full string that is sent when forcing an update

          I have tinkered with this a bit more and i can't get it to work.

          I tried to change the wildcard option to on and tried to move it around, i still get the same error where it removes the CNAME for the *.domain

          When i manually edit the diff-file to look like this 'https://dns.loopia.se/XDynDNSServer/XDynDNS.php?hostname='.$this->_dnsHost.'&wildcard=on&myip='.$this->_dnsIP);
          it works good. So i guess this will be my work around.

          I have tried with Wildcard option checked and unchecked of course. Dunno why this is an issue
